Comrade T. Rotella made a motion to consider serving just sandwiches as
in the past and it was approved to consider holding that form of meal
setting. Comrade Liberati provided a
historical perspective on this and other types of more formal meal settings,
which the intent is to increase attendance, membership and participation of the
membership, which is the goal of the post, and should remain as a benefit of
membership in Post #1. It is the commander’s
responsibility to use good fiscal management techniques, utilizing the income
from the Cyril Henius Trust Fund, including adding the surcharge if necessary,
to ensure we meet the obligations of the Post with regard to meals and
meetings, and the membership enjoys the intended benefit of the trust. If the
current economic conditions require more individual obligations for the
meetings then the commander must apply them as necessary.
